JOINING TIME LEAVE



JOINING TIME ON TRANSFER:
1. Joining time shall be granted o an employee to enable him/her
a. To join a new post to which he/she is appointed while on duty in his/her old post, or
b. To join a new post on return from leave.
2. An employee in respect of joining time shall be entitle to the pay and allowances of the old or the new post, whichever is less.
3. Joining time which shall be allowed o an employee, shall not exceed six days, exclusive of the number of days spent on travelling.
4. In calculating joining time admissible to an employee, the day on which he/she is relieved from his/her old post shall be excluded but public holidays following the day of his/relieve shall be included in the joining time.
5. An employee who does not join his post within the joining time allowed to him/her shall be deemed to have committed a breach of discipline.
6. No joining time shall be admissible when he transfer does not involve a change in the situation of his/her office and a joining time of not more than one day (inclusive of a holiday or Sunday) is permissible when the new appointment takes place in the same town or station
